Desperate Energy

I don’t like the word desperate – it makes me think of negative and ego-related stuff. It’s a very strong term that instantly and purposely brings someone down. And yet, for lack of a better word, today I want to talk about desperate energy.

How else to describe desperate energy than a icky feeling, something that’s hard to look at. You feel it like a vibration, yet it’s hard to tell what makes someone seem desperate. It’s a smell. It’s a weird state of recognition. It’s a: I know where you are, and I’m so glad I am not.

Feeling desperate is one of the worst feelings in the world. Cruel when it is legitimate and sad, like when you can’t save someone from downfall. But that’s not the desperate energy I am talking about today. Today mean desperate energy as in wanting something really bad. Chasing someone that isn’t chasing you.

And the funny thing about desperate energy is that you can heal it in a second. The tangible ickiness instantly vanishes the moment the desperate person focusses back on themselves. ‘You don’t want me? Great – I’m not gonna make you.’

The ultimate cure to desperation is radical focus on the self. Becoming who you want to be or are meant to be. Creating a really solid foundation within yourself and knowing your worth. Trusting the universe that what is yours will find you. Trusting god that rejection is protection and very often also redirection.

Desperate energy is hard to cure in someone else. I think the best thing you can do for your desperate friend is to give them love and tell them how valuable they are. It’s hard to be desperate when you also believe that you’re beautiful, magical, and an angel on this earth.

I don’t know why I wanted to share this today. I guess I just realized that being desperate is such a needless and unaligned feeling that shouldn’t even exist. If you just realized that you are chasing something that isn’t chasing you – start chasing yourself. You’re worth it.
